Exporting Contacts

Exporting Contacts:

This feature allows you to export your contacts in either Microsoft Excel or Comma Separated Values (.CSV) file formats.  The Address Book is one area that cannot be shared with other users.  If you want others to use your contacts you can simply export your lists and send them the file for re-importing.

  1. Click on Address Book
  2. Click on "Export Contacts" icon
  3. Select an export option:  You can filter your export data using the following options:
    • All contacts or by Email List
  4. Select status option: (active or inactive or all)
  5. Select fields to export:
    • Select which fields you would like to export. If you are planning on re-importing these contacts into SurveySquare be sure to include at a minimum the EmailAddress field.  Note that you can also export the Status of your contact to help you manage your data.
  6. Select an export format:  Select the file type Microsoft Excel (.xls) or Comma Separated Values (.csv).
  7. Click the "Export" button and you will be prompted to "Open" or "Save" the file in the popup box.
